Calm into the wild
Yellowstone Coloring Books
Fifty scenes of Yellowstone in bold black and white — Old Faithful throwing steam at the sky, bison in open valleys, hot springs bubbling under the wide Wyoming light. Every one began as a photograph I took myself.
A letter from me, from the front of the book
This book was created with love and care — most of the photos featured in these pages were taken by me during my travels through the wild beauty of Wyoming. Each picture offers a piece of that journey: the fresh mountain air, the rustle of a pine forest, the still gaze of a wild animal. My hope is that these pages bring you joy, offer you calm moments in your busy days, and gently reconnect you with the wild beauty that lives around us. A. Wilder
Not stock images. Not invented scenery. Places I stood in.
I walked these trails with a camera before I ever drew a line. That is why the light falls the way it does, why the bison stand where they stand, why the steam drifts the direction it drifts. You are coloring a real morning in Wyoming, not an idea of one.
The style here is bolder than my other books — strong, expressive linework rather than fine botanical detail. If you like a page you can fill with confident color, this is the one.

The park's best-loved sights and its wildlife
Four pages from the book, so you can see the line before you buy.
You'll find both moods here — open landscapes where the sky does most of the work, and densely patterned animals that will keep you busy for an evening.
You'll recognize these places. They were photographed on ordinary days by someone standing where you stood.
Bold line and open shapes. Good for markers, good for a fast happy hour with a box of pencils.
Calm is the whole point. Take a deep breath, pick a color, and let the day go.
